Tascha’s Top Perfume Picks

I was a sweet 16 when my mother bought me my first perfume. A $185 bottle of Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle Parfum. Even as an adult my perfumes are an essential part of my wardrobe. I just don’t feel right leaving the house without a spritz of my favorite scent.

Here a few of my top picks for my favorite perfumes below:

Top Picks

Chanel N°19: ($122)

A very natural clean scent that is not at all presumptuous like so many other perfumes I’ve smelled which overwhelm. Perfect for lounging around the house in a comfy sweater.

Chanel Allure Sensuelle: ($109)
Chanel Allure Sensuelle: ($109)

Like with Chanel N°19, this scent has an overall organic & natural feel to it. Like with Chanel Mademoiselle, it sprays on strong but the scent dies down throughout the day.

To downplay the strength of this scent mix Allure Sensuelle with an unscented moisturizer and apply it to your skin like a lotion. The unscented moisturizer acts as a neutralizer to stabilize the stronger perfume.

Michael Kors Sporty Citrus Eau de Parfum: ($55)

This scent is really great just for lounging around or doing errands. It’s a really clean scent without any fuss.

Estée Lauder Sensuous Noir: ($58)
Estée Lauder Sensuous Noir: ($58)

Wonderful for a night out. Complete with spiced lily, this is a very rich and powerful, yet feminine scent. A great add-on to a simple black dress.

Dior J’adore Eau de Parfum:($70)
Dior J’adore Eau de Parfum:($70)

Lovely floral scent with a hint of jasmine and Damascus Rose. Perfect for the office or an after hours event.

Donna Karan Cashmere Mist: ($27)
Donna Karan Cashmere Mist: ($27)

This scent is a great pick if you’re looking for a simple light musk. The hint of vanilla really keeps this scent from Donna Karen from being too overpowering. What I especially love about this scent is that it’s not a seasonal scent, but appropriate all year long.

Perfume Tip: One of my favorite ways to apply perfume is to first spray it on my left wrist. Then, I take this wrist and glide it around the sides of my neck!
